We decided to see how Whitney would do with her first toy. We have been practicing for a couple of days now and Whitney is starting to grasp onto things for a little while. But, as you can tell from the video, we will be doing lots more practicing. She doesn't mind being on the floor as long as we don't roll her onto her tummy, then life is over. She is getting much stronger at holding up her head and she is all smiley now. If we smile at her, she will smile right back at us, most of the time.
And her talking is adorable. But we know that we are a little biased.

First Easter
We were able to go back to the Tri-Cities for General Conference and Easter. Whitney officially slept through most of her first Easter egg hunt, but Courtney tried to show her different colors on different Easter eggs. Unfortunately, Whitney's mean mom wouldn't let her have any chocolate candy. What a bummer for her. We enjoyed spending the holiday with family. We were given a cute Easter dress that Whitney wore; it is just a little big for her. But there is no way that it will fit next year, so we had to take advantage of it now. And we finally got a picture of Whitney sucking on her hands. She loves doing that and would probably do that all the time if we let her. Again with the mean parents thing.

Happy Easter everyone.
Happy Easter everyone.
Spring Break
Well, things have been busy, busy, busy here in Cheney. At the last minute, we decided that we wanted to go to Idaho Falls for Spring Break. Will's brother, Dave, is at BYU Idaho and we were able to stay with Aunt Carol and Uncle Randy for a couple of days so we could visit everyone. Whitney did a pretty good job on the car trip; we were worried that we would have to hear her screaming for 9 hours straight. But that wasn't the case at all. While in Idaho, we were able to go to the temple visitor center. Now Whitney can say that she has seen her first temple, Idaho Falls, and she has felt her first snow. We also saw Will's cousins, Paul and Jessica Zeil, and compared our 3 week old baby to their 6 week old girl. That was fun. It was great being able to see everyone and we wanted to thank the Waites for their hospitality. Here are some pictures from our trip.

When we got back to Cheney, Whitney's big day arrived for her baby blessing. We were very excited for her. Ruth and Dana and Courtney's family were able to come to be part of the event. She looked very cute in her dress from Burlington Coat Factory.

We hope everyone else had fun with their Spring Break as well.
