It's time for a haircut when...

1. It has officially become summer time and your apartment went from freezing to super hot in roughly 2.5 seconds.
2. Your 2 ½ month old daughter has learned how to pull hair and enjoys doing so while eating and getting a diaper change.
3. Your split ends are starting to get split ends. That’s just embarrassing.

Will just passed his oral exams, which means he is officially allowed to graduate as an MSW. Whitney and I went with him as moral support. And we wanted to go out to lunch afterwards to celebrate his hard work. So it was a win win. Here is Whitney dressed all cute to show off for the judges on Will’s panel.

Whitney has now become fascinated with things she can touch. I tried to get a video of her playing with her swinging toys in her bouncer and this was, unfortunately, the best that I could get. Just imagine that she was playing with her toys more right before the camera came out.

Sometimes I wonder if Whitney would beat us up if she had the chance for always messing with her and making her angry. She is flinging her fists in the air and sticking out her tongue like she is deep in concentration. Everybody better watch out.

Whitney doesn’t much care for tummy time, so we are working our neck muscles by sitting up more. She seems to prefer that because then she can still see us and make sure we are still watching her.

And all that extra exercise is making her extra sleepy.

Finally, with the summer comes hat season. Courtney loves putting hats on Whitney and Whitney doesn’t hate it too much. Now if they would only stay on. In one we are teaching Whitney how to tie on her own hat, or something like that.

We hope everyone is happy and enjoying a little sunshine. We are doing great and cannot wait for Will’s graduation.

8 weeks old

Whitney is now eight whole weeks and she has had her first graduation. She has officially moved from newborn outfits up to 0-3 month outfits. It is a happy moment because she is getting bigger, but also sad because she is getting bigger. She is getting so big and there are now three babies younger than her in our ward at church. Isn't that just crazy? We are so happy she is part of our lives.

Another intern at SCAN where Will works gave us a cute outfit that Whitney can now wear since the weather is starting to warm up. Thanks Joanna.

And we literally spent all day long trying to get Whitney to be smiling in her cute red outfit. She would get all smiley and then stop as soon as the camera came out. Go figure. But I guess you cannot blame a baby. We did finally get a couple of smiles on camera.

Thank you for all the support we have had from family and friends with our new baby. Everyone has been so wonderful to us.
