Well, it too us a week, but we got all our boxes unloaded and everything is where we want them. And Will was great at hanging up all our pictures, so now our home looks okay. We have all adjusted to our new place; if we could only get Whitney to sleep through the night again, then everything will be great. We are thinking of buying her a little nite light because I think her room here is too dark and she gets scared. Here are a couple pictures of our place and the happenings in Cheney.
This is our new house. We moved into a side house from someone in our ward and we like it so far.
And we have a yard; that makes us happy. Whitney is able to play outside and she really likes that. There are even trees and pretty flowers and everything. So I feel like we moved up in the world of renting. Now we just have to be sure Whitney doesn't run into the street. That wasn't much of an issue in our old place.
Whitney was such a good "helper" when it came to packing boxes. I am not sure she understood why her toys and other favorite things had to go in boxes for a week or so. She kept trying to take things out of the boxes that I had put in.
Here is a pile of unpacked boxes in our new kitchen. It is hard to tell, but we have a chalkboard against one wall that has been kind of convenient already. We can write messages to each other or things we need at the store and whatnot. And I am sure Whitney will discover it soon and want to draw pictures. We like our kitchen a lot; it has a ton of cabinet space.
Whitney got her leg stuck in one of the boxes we hadn't packed yet. Poor girl. I don't think she was really hurt, but she was very angry that she couldn't get her leg out.
We have been doing other things besides moving. Will and I celebrated our fourth wedding anniversary on the 25th. We decided to just buy small things for each other.
Will got me a beautiful rose and I made him a candy card. We also bought the Harry Potter movie for ourselves and went out to dinner. So it was a great day. Whitney learned how to see 'candy' since I kept telling her the candy was for dad and she really wanted some. Thankfully, Will has been sharing with us.
Whitney started nursery a little while back and this was her first art to bring home. I think she might have even colored on it, but it was hard to tell. The nursery leaders say she is doing a wonderful job and she doesn't cry when Will drops her off. I guess she is a little shy though and is still figuring everything and everybody out, but she seems happy.
This picture is kind of hard to tell, but Whitney got my lipstick on her nose. I was busy unpacking and Whitney was playing with the tube, but I didn't know she had managed to get the lipstick to the top of the tube until she came out to show me her colorful nose. Of course, I had to get a picture before wiping it off. I am sure this is probably just the first of many times this happens.
And finally, just a picture to make you smile. Will gets his own version of Wilson and gives some sunglasses to the ball. We have been very busy this past week with unpacking and organizing. I'm just glad things are starting to settle down. Bye from Cheney.

Yay for cabinet space in the kitchen! That's something I wish this apartment had more of. I'm glad to hear you're getting settled. And so glad Whitney is helping with the packing and the unpacking. Nursery is pretty much the best for art projects ;-)
hugs to you all!
Well that will show me for not checking the comments on my other blog, I didn't see you had requested an invite to the blog until a month after the fact almost! Whitney is super cute and she's getting so big! Is she getting excited to be a big sister?
We are glad you got moved in, and that wilson is ok with his new place. Whitney is a delight.
