Easter (Part 1)

It was such a fun Easter.  I love Easter time and remembering the importance of the resurrection.  My kids mostly just love the chocolate, but I did try to teach them the true reason for Easter.  Anyway, here are some Easter pictures.

We did a couple of Easter crafts.  Here we are making eggs by just cutting colorful paper into little pieces and gluing them onto paper in egg shape.

The kids wanted to keep going by drawing designs on their eggs.  I forgot to get pictures of the other craft but we made some handprint flowers.  Those were kind of cute.

And it isn't Easter without making sugar cookies.  I let the kids do most of the work.  That kind of meant some of the sugar cookies were a bit thicker than other ones.  Oh well.

Here is Whitney with her decorated bunny.

And Rachel showing off her flower.

And Megan's cookie - minus one flower petal because she couldn't wait for me to get the camera ready.  I think the making of the cookies and the decorating were more exciting than actually eating the cookies.  Again, oh well.  The cookies are still a special treat.

And Easter egg dying at Grandma's house.  Thankfully, my mom is willing to do the egg dying at her house every year.

I think Megan did the most eggs.  She did them all very quickly.  Look at the serious face.  Egg dying is serious business.

And Adam just watched from a safe distance.

So these are some of our Easter happenings.  We went on a bunch of Easter egg hunts this year so I will have to put up some more pictures soon.
