Eating Solids

Since Whitney is now 4 1/2 months old, we decided that she was ready to try some solid food. Well, if you consider rice cereal to be solid food. I made it quite runny so it would help her swallow it because that seemed to really help the babies at the daycare. We both thought that Whitney would mostly spit out the rice cereal on her first attempt, but she did so good. And she loved it; she wanted more when it was all gone. Will and I both had fun feeding her for the first time.
Here are a couple of random pictures of Whitney looking all cute.

And she was reaching out for the spoon because we weren't feeding her fast enough.

She really liked the flag, already a little patriot.

We are still working on sitting up better. As long as she has a back, Whitney does okay. So she can sit with her back against the couch and be part of our family. I hope everyone is doing okay. We love you all.

I love the little faces she makes while she's eating the food. She seems to really like it. Good job Whitney! I love the picture of her asleep holding the flag too. So cute!

I think rice is rather nice. So fun to see her tasting that cereal. Very adventurous!
